It's hard to find a jjajangmyun place in the city nowadays, so when we were in Bayside this weekend, we had to check this out. Even though their menu is very extensive (and I didn't know what the difference was between all the dishes), you can't go wrong with jjajangmyun & jjamppong! We also ordered a fried mandoo appetizer, which wasn't necessary in hindsight -Jjajangmyun: the noodles have a nice texture, but not the chewiest I've had. The black bean sauce has zucchini, onions, and pork but not that much filling. The sauce is also veryy cornstarchy. At less than $10 though, it's a good steal - Jjamppong: Not too spicy, and has a strong seafood flavor which we liked. Also loved that the seafood & veggies had a nice char flavor to it! Same noodles as above - Fried mandoo: More chinese style filling with a ton of chives and meat, and no glass noodles. The skin is SO thick.. almost like a scallion pancake? It's $14, but comes with a ton of dumplings. It ended up being way too much for 2 of us, but we took the rest home

Always really great food. The lunch special is the best! So much food and so delicious! This is our go to place for jajangmyun and jjampong! The gganpungki, spicy chicken entree, is absolutely delicious!

Came with a party of 7 so they sat us in the private room which made it quiet and intimate, perfect for my family gathering. Food was on point and staff are all very friendly!

These guys blew me away from start to finish and I almost wish I could eat here every week. We came here towards the end of lunch service and were seated immediately, and the hot barley tea was perfect for warming up. Staff were friendly and helpful, and food came out one by one without much delay and so began my endless gasps of joy. - Sweet and sour pork: one of the best of its kind I've had, and they clearly avoided the common mistakes I've seen other similar joints make. Tender pork, perfect gooey sauce, and just the right mix of veggies, so easy 5/5. - Jajang noodles: again, one of the very best I've had, and the hot stretchy noodles and chunky sauce made it easy for me to devour in just a handful of chopstickfuls - 5/5. - Fried rice: freshly made and served with authentic spicy seafood soup (even though my low tolerance for spiciness means I could only handle the veggies, but the broth) - 5/5. The fresh kimchi was chilled and crisp, and so was the radish, and the warm, homey ambience went perfectly with, well, everything. They don't have their own parking lot but street parking is ubiquitous so this shouldn't be an issue. Long live Guh Sung.

Absolutely love this place and highly recommend them to anyone in or out of the area. The service was awesome; the staff were so friendly and appreciated our servers recommendation. The portion size was enough for 2 people depending how hungry you were. Amy set up our little dipping sauce right after placing down pickles and kimchi to start(kimchi got a bit of a kick). First our table split fried mandu which were the size of Spanish empanadas filled with pork. I had ordered a chicken dish kanpoong Gi which tasted so good I didn't want to share. ( def squeeze some home made hot sauce out of the bottle for this one ). The place is big enough to accommodate any party size.

Tried out their seafood jjajjamyung. Pretty good! I remember the last time they put too much onions but this time it was well balanced. The sauce was a bit sweeter than it should be but overall pretty good. My dad really like the maps tofu and the you can never go wrong with shrimp. Freshly fried and tasty!

Went ~8PM on Thursday and it was relatively empty. It's a pretty spacious place and the waiter was attentive. - The Samsun jjajangmyun was delicious and would go back for it if i was craving jjajangmyun. - The jjajangmyun in the jjamjamyun (half jjajanmyun and half jjamppong) was definitely inferior compared to that of the samsun jjajangmyun. - The soup base for jjamppong is good but I feel like there's always too many vegetables in comparison with everything. -The chapsal tangsuyuk was the perfect texture and it was delicious with the sauce. It is a bit pricey though. Portions are quite large. I would go back either with friends or family.

Ordered the sweet and sour pork (sauce on the side) and it was really good! Portion is Huge and we definitely took some home after. I recommend getting sauce on side and just dipping, that way if you don't finish you can just air fry it at home! The noodles with clam chop suey soup was also very good and would definitely order again. Would def come back!
